The People behind the scene

Khalia Jackson
Founder & Chief Wellness Officer
Hello! My educational background is in Early Development, Psychology and I am also a Master Herbalist. I worked nearly 12 years in Early Ed. before making a change and founding The MP Collective in 2024. After working in public and private education I began developing an educational curriculum for a small private school. During this time I noticed a significant difference in student educational achievement, dietary habits, parent involvement etc. Once a justice impacted child I understand the needs of a justice impacted individual/family (JIIF) are unique. The emotional and mental toll of parental incarceration can have lasting effects on educational achievement & more. Using my education and experience, I began to develop The Orbital Approach to Wellness. A reintegrative curriculum addressing several intersecting needs of JIIF’s and programs to support them. I look forward to growing as a community and becoming a part of the change we wish to see!

Cicero Taylor
Chief Of Community Outreach
Hello! I joined The Missing Peace Collective in its beginning stages and helped develop The Orbital Approach to Wellness with the perspective of someone who has experience. As a justice impacted individual I empathize with the needs of incarcerated persons and their families. Reconnect began as an idea based on my own expressed need and grew into what it is today. I am passionate about serving those who feel voiceless and those wrongfully convicted. As MPC grows, I hope we can keep families connected during and after their incarceration and work as a community to lower recidivism rates. I look forward to developing collaborative efforts and partnerships that support justice impacted families.
